“This piece is inspired by photos taken by my son. Song sparrows have a lovely song and are one of many songbirds native to Ontario. We often take these little brown birds for granted, and this piece calls us to take notice. Eco-printing techniques were used to create the oak leaf patterns. The song sparrow is a combination of an original block print with thread painting.”
