Q & A with author Stacey Weeks
Stacey Weeks (StaceyWeeks.com) of Brantford, Ont., writes contemporary romance, romantic suspense and inspirational nonfiction.
How does writing a series differ from a standalone?
I love it when a series has a story arc. Each book tells a complete story, but it also reveals a little more about the larger story. That takes more planning and organization than a standalone. I need to keep track of details, decide what information to reveal and when, and make sure each book moves the larger story forward while still providing a satisfying individual story.
What keeps you writing after 15 books?
Life keeps me writing. Writing fiction is one of my coping strategies. It provides a safe escape from real life and allows me to explore hard things in a world I can control. Writing nonfiction also helps me make sense of life. I often work through deep theological questions. Sometimes those thoughts become a blog post, sometimes a message for a women’s event and sometimes a book.

Undeniable Faith: Strengthen Your Faith in 31 Days (Grace and Love Publishing, 2026) was written during a trial that threatened to narrow my focus to my own family and our needs. Those needs are real, but so are the Kingdom responsibilities God has given me. Undeniable Faith became the structure I needed: 31 days of praying through James, reflecting on its truths and taking practical steps of obedience. I wrote the book I needed, hoping it would help other women actively live their faith too.
